Isel Successfully Defends Customers Against Patent Infringement Claim

Isel announces today that it has accepted Polyguard Products motion to dismiss the patent infringement case against Isel and all of Isel’s customers.

JACKSONVILLE, FL — Isel, a global leader in industrial lubricants, announces today that it has accepted Polyguard Products Inc (Polyguard) motion to dismiss the patent infringement case pending in the Northern District of Texas as Civil Action No. 3:17-CV-03218-M regarding Isel’s NXT Pipe Coating Gels.  Polyguard had asserted US patent number 6,331,509 (the ’509 patent) in that action.

Isel’s NXT Pipe Coating Gels are a non-drying, premium pipe coating formulated to help control and protect against corrosion/rust on metallic components.

 

Per the terms of the agreement:

• Polyguard has confirmed that it will dismiss its existing pipe gel patent infringement suits against Isel and any of Isel’s customers with prejudice
• Polyguard agrees that it will never again sue Isel or Isel’s customers, under any claims of the ’509 patent
